Aries Sun in the 4th House

The 4th house represents home life, childhood, family lineage and ancestry. Aries sun placed here means your early years may have been a little rough around the edges. A mother figure or more nurturing parent may have given tough love or taught you to be independent from a young age. The relationship may have been emotionally disconnected or you might find yourself enmeshed if she lacked boundaries. This could be a family that was loud and full of life, and maybe that overshadowed your needs or you learned that to be considered you had to make your presence known by being the boldest in the room. You might find yourself wanting to stand out from your family, having a more courageous nature or a different approach to life. If nothing else, you learned how to stand on your own.

While the focus is on your roots, the Aries sun has some shadows of its own to be nurtured here. Like that incessant need to overpower or “outdo” your family members. You love being the center of the show and you should own that, but your loved ones aren’t the competition. You don’t have to continue on with those same survival tactics you were taught, it’s ok to let them go. The 4th house can make you stronger and capable of forging your own path if you let it.

Of course this can change greatly based on your
Moon placement which goes deeper into your relationship with your mother, or your Chiron placement which is where your deepest wound resides. This placement asks you to let your past fuel your future. The competitive nature, the passion, the fearlessness? You can use them to build a better home than you had growing up, one that is yours alone where you’re the only one in charge.
