Astrology Helped Me Find My Life's Purpose

Despite having an idea of what I wanted in life, I couldn't quite figure out how to get it. I knew from a young age that working for someone else the rest of my days was not an option. I wanted to do something I loved, that I was passionate about. I also knew I needed to figure out what would not only bring me joy, but what was sustainable long term and helped me to fulfill my mission - my life’s purpose.

Being the “oddball” and never really fitting anywhere (locationally or socially) was my first hint that I was destined for difference. The first step? Figuring out what my purpose actually was in this lifetime. I always wanted to help others in some way, so naturally I started in the medical field. I quickly realized the corporate world wasn’t for me. After years of trying different fields of work, I was exhausted and wanted out of the career rat race, then the universe introduced me to the many esoteric and occult studies. Before I knew it, I was heavily invested in psychic abilities, astrology, numerology, crystals, tarot, spirituality etc. When COVID emerged, I was laid off and decided to try entrepreneurship. The Midnight Vibe Co. was born, my online metaphysical shop. I offered books on spiritual concepts, intuitively hand chosen crystals, singing bowls, t-shirts, sage, palo Santo, candles, herbs — you name it, I had itThat’s the happiest I’ve ever been.

I started studying my chart obsessively using countless interpretations and books to comprehend what it all meant. Boldly, I left Corporate America for good, with a dream and no backup plan. Once I discovered which placements in astrology would assist me in finding my path and purpose, I began putting the puzzle together. Follow me:

• 2nd house of finances, values, and possessions

• 6H showing daily routines and work environment, as well as service to others

• Midheaven or Medium Coeli (Latin for “middle of the sky”), represents fame, success, career path, aspirations and reputation

• North/South Nodes - the SN explains your past life and the natural talents you brought into this lifetime, any karmic baggage and soul gifts. The NN shows what you are to master this time around, your life’s mission, your destiny.

Let’s walk through this now… So, whatever I do for work it has to be independent. Climbing the corporate ladder was never an aspiration so entrepreneurship felt like second nature. Fearless action, self sufficiency, and financial stability are directly impact my emotional well-being (hello, Aries Moon, 2H). Because of this, I can be impulsive at times and relentless in achieving my goals. So I'm learning to manage impulsivity, since financial ebbs and flows will be a natural rhythym in my life, just like the Moon’s phases.

Then there’s my Leo Mars in the 6H. This means the opportunity to be bold in my self-expression and taking the reigns is necessary in my day to day, whether it’s with my art, my business, or in the work I do with others. Typical employment does not fit me, Mars wants leadership, creative independence and high energy. I had to channel this inner fire into something I can call my own, something that also inspires others. The drive and work ethic this placement blesses me with are the perfect complement to my need for autonomy.

This works as an esoteric transformation coach because I don’t sugar coat for my clients in 1:1 coaching. Our sessions will be raw, unfiltered, and honest. The work of self-mastery requires true devotion to change, therefore you absolutely have to dig deep and get uncomfy. Now the star of this convo — one of the biggest birth chart career indicators — my Sagittarius midheaven/10H.

Translation? I need freedom! I loathe monotony, meaning my day to day has to include variety, whimsy, and adventure as well as intellectual exploration. This shows up in my personal life by way of my travel habits, ability to shift focus to different hobbies/projects, and my attention to philosophy. Since expansion of knowledges resides here, it makes sense why I desire to teach and pursue intellectual stimulation in all things. The people closest to me see me as this carefree, ambitious, go-getter who can always provide (or find) the answer to even the craziest questions. They also have to ask where I’m at, because I’m known for disappearing and sending them photos from another country 🙃

As for my nodes; Taurus South Node in 2H tells me that stability, wealth, personal comforts and material possessions were my focus. Unfortunately this created a rift in my relationship with money in this lifetime, because it’s likely my self-worth was tied to my financial security. The North Node is naturally the opposite direction of the South, so being in Scorpio 8H, my destiny and purpose this time around is to shift my attention internal. Scorpio is all about intensity, embracing transformation, hidden wisdom, diving into the unknown and releasing the need for material security.

This also represents deep connection with others and engaging in healing modalities like coaching and astrology, meaning success comes through joint ventures and client-based services. It makes me being an esoteric transformation coach instead of a typical life coach much more natural. If we look deeper, the ruler of my chart and midheaven (Jupiter rules Sag Midheaven and Pisces Ascendant) is also in Scorpio in my 8h, so this translates to my career literally expanding (Jupiter) and accelerating when I embrace deep psychological work and practice receiving abundance.

I will say, it’s been tough coming from strict self-reliance to allowing myself to trust the flow of resources that comes when I step into my purpose, but I know this is so much bigger than me and my discomforts.
